Best GPS for Europe

I currently have a Garmin Nuvi 350, but I am considering a replacement model. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good GPS for Europe? I like the Garmin features better than those I have seen from TomTom, but I am not totally committed.

Hi

I agree, Garmin is user friendly. Take model with bigger screen , and FM TMC traffic receiver. Nuvi 760.

I do find the nuvi 1340 one of the best for europe navigation. I've just done a 4000 km road trip and it worked flawlessly the entire time. The only negative point is the lack of creating routes, but I guess that with a litle bit of forward planning you can create a POI for each waypoint.

Any gps that uses Navteq data is going to give excellent results as the data is more up to date than comparable datasets.

Well, just my honest opinion, I do belive that Garmin Nuvi 1340 is a good choice, not expensive and I do belive that will make you happy.

Best Regards.

Living and Navigating in France, Germany and the UK I have to agree. yes not expensive but ask yourself what are you getting that you need in a more expensive Machine?

I own a Garmin Nuvi 250 for a few years now. I am very pleased with it. Get me where I wanted.
Also own another inexpensive GPS. It uses SiRF ATLAS III , and gets me to where I wanted too.
Both are excellent travel companions.
