| Posted by markdavis Garmin Nuvi 760 POIs Hello again, I am nearly there. I have downloaded gpx, bmp and mp3 files for POIs and then used POI Uploader. On the Garmin I have Proximity and Extras. The recent POI files that I uploaded are in the Extras on the Garmin. I am not getting any warning or recognition that POI are coming up eg 100 meters. Have I got the files in the wrong area on the Garmin i.e. Extras. Although that is where the Uploader placed them. Sorry about this but I feel I am not far off from succeeding. Mark |

| Posted by t.sew Garmin Nuvi 760 POIs I had the same problem loading them to my Nuvi 770 when using the gpx files. Using the csv, bmp and mp3 files should work. |

Hi Mark, I put all POI files in the same catagory as they are on the download site. i.e. C:\Garmin\POI\Safety ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''\Petrol ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''\education ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''\shopping etc, etc. The POI Loader to load the files to the GPS. It all goes over as a single file, POI.gpi When using the GPS the files are all in a directory as per your computer before conversion. You can let the POI loader do it automatically or set the warnings manually to suit yourself in regards warning distance etc. Hope this helps. |
