Posted by G-man How do I get Speed voice prompts on my Garmin 760 I ride a motorbike and plug my Garmin 760 into an intercom system. When I approach a speed camera warning (PIO) it makes a noise. I usually cannot look down at my unit. Is there anyway to get the 760 to alert the actual speed ie: "120 km speed camera ahead" |

I don't believe that any of the Garmin GPSes have this feature. You will have to customised you own alerts. You might also like to suggest that feature to Garmin. If you are lucky, it may get included in the next firmware release. |

Posted by t.sew Re: How do I get Speed voice prompts on my Garmin 760 G-man, I use a Nuvi 770 which is essentially a 760 with additional Europe mapping. Check out this link for more info on setting up the proximity audio alert: http://www.gps-data-team.com/pda-gps-navigation/viewtopic.php?t=3188 Cheers, Tom |
