I am a new bee on Nuvi 765

I have just got a Nuvi 765 ... and have got a few problems with it:
1.Battery depleted after 1,5 hours of usage ( normal usage finding and directing to a location ... no fancy mp3 /bluetooth disabled )
2.Audio through FM Transmitter: no sound unless the Nuvi 765 is reset.

Appreciate any assistance in solving these problems..thanks guys

Flat battery

Make sure you fully charged the internal battery first, or it will only last a short time when first used.
Just got a new one today and battery not fully charged in box.

Let the battery completely drain before you recharge it. They say they don't have a memory but that isn't necessarily so. Before you take it off the charger, be sure it is fully charged. This should cure your problem.

I'm getting a 765 after my 250W was stolen.
Once I get my new unit is it ok to leave it plugged into power all the time while driving and switched off while not in use, or should I use it on battery only occasionally and recharge when needed?

765 use

I leave mine plugged in whilst driving and turned off when not in use.
Recommend you fully discharge the battery every now and then, just leave it turned on overnight and recharge in the morning. Stops any memory cycle that the battery may have, even though they are not supposed to remember charge state.

Batteries

Lithium Ion batteries should never be cycled as they will not be improved at all. The more they are used, the shorter there life span. They are good for about 1-2 years. Lithium batteries also should never be completely discharged either. Once they bottom out they cant be recharged. Most charging circuitry prevents total discharge though.
