| Posted by Domino Help with no maps found TomTom One V3 Hi I have a TomTom One V3 which I've been very happy with, but I now have a problem I could use some help with please. I updated via the usual method, and then got 'no maps found'. As I was about to start searching online for remedies I discovered a virus on the computer, which has basically scrambled a lot of the system on that machine, and I will have to format the drive and install a new OS. I then switched to updating the device from my laptop, with the same results. I have tried various remedies found on this forum, to no avail, so I opened the device from 'my computer'. The maps are there, but the whole file system looks a mess. It looks like I need to do a complete re-install, which I am literate enough to handle, but I only have back-up copies of the maps (Western Europe). Is anyone able to help out with the system files and any other information I might need please? At the moment I haven't deleted anything from the device, although as I said, it looks like a new install and maybe format of the drive is needed. Thanks in anticipation. |
| Posted by narsamma Get it going again The best way to repaire it is to delete the TT system file from the root of the tomtom. Connect it to tomtom home and it will download a new operating system for it, then reload your backup copy of your map and you will be up and running again. |
