| Posted by legz NZ tomtom one XL searching by street (not city) Hi, I was wondering if anyone could assist. We have the above mentioned unit but the thing that bugs the life out of me is that when entering an adress to navigate to you have to enter the city first, now this may sound weird but where we live (New Zealand) some citys are broken up into different areas and therefore we dont always know what area we are going to....however if we were able to enter the steet name and then it prompted you with the possibilitys it would be far easier to use. Hope this makes sense. Basicly there is no point in me having the device if I have to sit down for 20 minutes figuring out what city/district the street is in. So my question is this, is there a setting I can change to fix this? If not I'll just swap for a uniden as they seem to work in the way I have mentioned. Many thanks Greg |
| Posted by narsamma Searching by street Sorry to inform you but Tomtom will only search by suburb then street. The only device that you can search street first is the Garmin. Live with it or get a Garmin |
