| Posted by charlie How many POI's can I have in new garmin nuvi 265 with sound? Hi folks Can anyone tell me if I add the gpx file and the mp3 files. How many with the unit hold without an extra card? I am assuming these are the files I should be using as there as so many different file formats to download? |
| Posted by jaycmiller what size is it? what size card does it come with? all the files are quite small so you should be able to fit as much as you want on it. |
| Posted by Charlie3 Re: what size is it? I got the Garmin unit. It didn't come with a card or the maps. I was told it all came pre-installed? So would have to get a card if needed. Was a little disappointed that I didn't get the maps and software with it. I have now loaded over 7000 POI's with no problem. I am assuming that if I delete the standard pictures in the jpg folder I should get more space. I have backed up all the files on the Unit to a directory on my PC in case one gets deleted by mistake. Still a newbee at modifing anything on the unit at this stage. It is nice that you can download all the POI's and then sort out what you do not want. Are the gpx and the mp3 files all I need?
