| Posted by ankoh2 Talking cam files Does anyone know where the voice file for speed camera alerts is located? New POIs have now got a female voice but it is very soft even when my nuvi 760 is set on maximum. I am hoping to be able to edit the file and increase the volume. Thanks. |
| Posted by dteterin Re: Talking cam files After you upload mp3, bmp and CVS files into the Garmin device, it seems for me (AFAIK) you can't edit it any more. And every time you upload POI into the device it replaces existed ones. Therefore you might need to keep all POI files in one folder, so when you change ONE file in folder you are sure that PIO loader loads them all. You can download POI alerts or create your own sound files (use mic and sound recorder or this site, after you can edit wav file, change volume and convert into mp3 here. Replace Speed_Cameras.mp3 into folder with your downloaded POI (make sure it has absolutely the same name as your bmp and CVS files) and upload with POI loader. Should work. |
