| Posted by allenkelly Nuvi 5000 voice problem I have recently purchased a Garmin Nuvi 5000 and the retailer installed the free red light and speed POI's. While using these, the voice was operating fine but the information was out of date and inaccurate so I decided to purchase the up-to-date POI's and since doing so the voice operates fine for red light cameras but is not operating with the speed cameras. Has anyone else had this problem and more importantly does anyone have an answer as to how to get the voice back. Regards Allen Kelly |
| Posted by robbinskuma POI Did you get the redlight and speed camera files separately (the second time) or were they combined into one file. Your unit needs the voice file to be named the same as the poi file except with a different file extension. Sounds like you may have forgot or did not get the speed camera voice file when you got the poi file. Your redlight poi will have it's own voice file and so will your speed camera file, as explained here: http://poidirectory.com/forum/topic/33.html J |
| Posted by allenkelly lost voice The red light and speed camera POI files were separate and needed to be installed separately.I have been back and forward looking for the file with the voice for the speed camera and cannot locate it. If you have any suggestions I'm all ears. |
