| Posted by ba_houston Fast satellite lock since new firmware I have noticed that satellite lock is almost immediate since I updated to the new Nuvi firmware version. This used to take almost 1 mile of driving before. Not sure if this due to the firmware or satellites (new ones may be?). |

| Posted by diet dr pepper slow to lock onto signal Yep, I agree. I bought a Nuvi 260W for my wife after using the Nuvi 360 for about 2 years. The 260W would take up to 2 minutes to get a signal - and if you were moving, all bets are off. I was about to take it back to the store. I was running FW version 3.0 that I just updated to 4.0. Everything is working great now. Good luck. |

| Posted by allenkelly Satellite speed I have just bought a Nuvi 5000 to replace my old Street pilot c320 and I am finding it takes longer to locate the satellite than the old c320 very frustrating it is located in the same place. |
