Posted by Guest problems accessing free map upgrade download I just spent 2 hours trying to work out why i cant download my free 2009 map update. Seems something fishy going on: garmin nuvi 760 purchase date - 9th Aug 2008 yet according to my garmin: First Satellite Acquired - 19th Jan 2008 Wonder if thats why garmin will not let me download my free map upgrade when i'm entitled to it... Lucky i kept my receipts to prove purchase date. Thought I should post in case other users are having a similar problem. |

Posted by labocha 1390T with free Lifetime maps I just got a deal like that from Costco. In teh US the cost is $299, in Canada $329. It is a regular unit but the box also contains a card with the unlock code. |
Posted by ross.bowden3 Map Updates - Garmin I purchased my Garmin 760 two years ago and recently updated to the latest maps by registering at My Garmin, paying the one off fee, which entitles you to unlimited upgrades for the life of that unit. Bonus also, if you travel is the maps now cover both Australia and New Zealand. I have had no problems and am very happy with being able to check into My Garmin every few months and update to the latest map updates. |
Posted by labocha Cheap maps? How can I save some money, if I need to buy a Navigator NT Europe? I have found some online retailers. Most will typically charge in the $129-150 range. For two weeks on major roads, chances are I will be OK, even if it is not the absolutely latest version. |
