iCN 520 SD/MMC Card with Maps?

I borrowed my mums Navman iCN520 yesterday, can when getting it out the boot, I dropped it....and didnt think much to it. But when I came to use it, it said it had no map data etc. So thought I had broken it from the drop. I now realise though that the card popped out, and Ive lost it!! So need to replace it for her really.

Can I buy these cards from somewhere with the maps on, and doesnt need anything doing to it, other than putting it in the sat nav and turning it on?? Just UK maps would be ok.

Thanks a lot

Re: iCN 520 SD/MMC Card with Maps?

I have the iCN510 which is very similar to the iCN520. The card used in the iCN510 is a standard SD flash memory card which can be purchased from any department store, the size is usually about 128 or 256MB depending on the size of the map database. Your mother should have the original CDs that came with the iCN520, these contain software and maps. You can then use any computer running Windows XP or above to reinstall the maps from the CD onto the flash drive. I would recommend you purchase a 256GB or larger just in case the map database was a large one.

Hope this helps,

Nev
