| Posted by Guest Updating Garmin Nuvi 250W maps Hi All, I'm looking for some newbie help here. I have recently purchased the new maps for my garmin device. I have the maps and software installed on my pc and unlocked. But how do I update my Garmin GPS Device??? Can I do a straight copy to the device? and will this overwrite current maps? Or do I copy the new maps to an sd Card an use them that way. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Gerry |
| Posted by zoki2703 Re: Updating Garmin Nuvi 250W maps Gerry, do you use Mapsource as your software on your PC? If you do, zoom the map out to about 700km, select map tool, highlight the all the map pages, then transfer to device - to a SD card. It's that easy. |
