Selecting locations

When searching or selecting a location by spelling eg 63 Hardgrave Rd my unit shows other addresses eg 62 Hardgrave Rd eventhough I typed in street number 63. Why does this occur and can this be altered because 62 isn't necessarily across the road from 63. Hope this all makes sense.

Re: Selecting locations

Is it the same if you type numbers 61 or 65 in the same street (locations on the same side of the road)?
The requested address may be new (not in provider's street locations database), or just another glitch in Australian digital maps.

Re: Selecting locations

Thanks for your response. Just tried to search 65 Hardgrave Rd West End (Brisbane) and it gave me 3 options 64, 25 and 177 Hardgrave Road West End Brisbane. This time no 62. Searching 61 gave me 60, 25 and 177. It does let me record my home address as the exact street number. Any other thoughts as I just bought it yesterday and still trying to understand its limitations.

I'm not 100% sure but this problem seems to occur when there is a registered business at the location. Becuase the Nuvi has the Sensis dB loaded , it will default to a business address if listed.

Again, this is a guess on my part and I too would like to know definitely why the unit behaves this way. It is the single complaint I really have on the Nuvi 310.

I have found that sometimes one side of the street or certain points in the street can be at the suburb change over so when you do the search for that particular number in the street it won't show. If you do a search all cities it will often show up but as being in the next suburb over. This not always the case but I have found it often.
