| Posted by Rjrafa Garmin speed alert hi i just bought a Garmin 200 series sat nav and it keeps beeping if i am going over a speed limit in a speed camera area. Nice feature but how do you turn this alarm off? |
| Posted by Ming Re: speed alert You receive a proximity alert when you are approaching the speedcam POI and a speed alert when you are traveling too fast. To turn off speed limit alert: 1. reduce your speed below a speed limit, or 2. delete all speed camera files, or 3. remove @xx speed information from all CSV camera files, or 4. load files with POI Loader in Manual mode. If a file contains "GATSO," "mobile," "SPECS," "safety," "speed," or "camera," but does not have a speed, POI Loader uses a default alert speed of 0, which means you will always be alerted. You can override this default value by entering the speed in Manual mode. For more information see POI Loader help file. Cheers |
