| Posted by christeljen No upgrades for iCN 550 by Navman During the last week in August 2006, I paid over $1000 to buy a Navman iCN550 as we often travel in Europe, USA and Australia and this model had all 3 continents already pre loaded. In Europe in September 2006, we found some of the maps were already out of date! Then we travelled Outback Australia this year with 7 other vehicles, 4 had GPSs, and OURS was useless, while 2 other brands were great! We are leaving for Canada and Alaska and I wanted to update before we left....only to be told that Navman was not updating the data on that model as it was a limited edition!!! I wish I had been told before I paid out a sum of money for which I could have bought a computer! So, BEWARE NAVMAN BUYERS: My top of the range Navman, not yet a year old is already a white elephant! |
