| Posted by neo61uk Garmin 55 dash cam - disable mobile speed camera alert Hi there Just bought a Garmin 55 dash cam and updated with cyclops seed camera POI - 3 DAYS FREE TRIAL All works great but as you all know mobile speed alerts are like constant.... I would like to keep the fixed and red light but remove the alert/location of mobile speed vans cameras. Checked the files in my POI folder and there few with different numbers and all are GMA files. Could anyone shed some light if its possible and what should I do? Any help would be appreciated Many thanks Martin |

| Posted by neo61uk Gmi Just downloaded GATSO GPI file and loaded into my dash cam into poi directory. Is this correct? Is gatso file the one with all speed and red light without mobile cameras? I assume I must switch off garmin speed camera alert and turn on custom poi alert now? Any help from advanced users please? |

Hi Mark Thanks for reply. Not sure what you mean exactly. On my dash cam I have only two settings Garmin speed cameras Custom poi So if i Leave garmin speed camera on it will still notify me of all mobile speed traps which are extremely annoying. So if i turn this off but rather turn on custom poi and than load your Gatso GPI file it should only notify me of the speed cameras in your file. Am I right? also is Gatso gpi the right file for all fixed speed and red light cameras without the mobile ones pls? |

All Garmin's cameras are packed in a single camera file
Yes, Custom POIs are always turned on. Remove custom file to switch that custom file off.

| Posted by mikejohngrant Mobile camera alert disable Hi, I am experiencing the same issue, so much so that I stopped using the dash cam because it was driving me mad due to the mobile camera alerts which are activated when just 1mph over the limit. I'm not the most switched on cookie when it comes to computers so a guide for dummies of how to solve the problem would be very much appreciated. |
