Tomtom does not provide map updates

I have a tomtom XXL, tried to download free UK map updates. There is no change to the maps. There are new roads in West Sussex and on the A45, by the airport, that have not changed on my TomTom. I don't know why.

TomTom is dropping support for legacy devices and will not be offering the lifetime updates that were sold as part of package for the following devices Sad My XXL550 is on the list.

TomTom wants to sell me a new gps though.
