| Posted by Rnakonec POI Files for "Sneaky" Parking Ticket Areas Hi: I was wondering if there are any POI files out there that have a list of waypoints for places "not to park"? For example, I recently got a Parking Ticket for being parked less than 3 meters from an intersection. When I parked my car, there was clearly more than a full car length from the rear of my car to the intersection, however, the two streets intersected with a "slight" taper which actually put my car within 1.5 meters from the "Intersection Point"...so I got a ticket. Here's another example: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/winnipeg-parking-ticket-fight-1.3712882 I'm not talking about the obvious locations, like parking too close to a fire hydrant, etc., but those really "Gotcha" locations where it is totally unimaginable one would receive a ticket if you parked "there", but one could. These are nothing but bonus "cash-grabs" by our parking authorities. Thanks! |
