I have a TomTom One XL and no matter what I try, I just can't get it to display a different shutdown screen from the startup screen. The only time it ever did was right after I got it and before I downloaded startup and shutdown screens from HOME. When I use TomTom home & download a new shutdown screen, it appears as though the image is on the device, however when I disconnect & try it out on the device, all I get is the startup screen as my shutdown screen.

I would be very grateful if anybody could help...

Make sure you are downloading the widescreen shutdown picture to suit your unit.
This should fix your problems.
