We downloaded TomTom HOME safety POI update to our computer and SD Card and now when we reinsert the SD card into the Tomtom it will not recognise it and tells us to insert SD card. We did not do a backup before downloading the programme therefore we cannot reload backup. We do not have a copy of the original content of the SD card and now relaise that we did not download it correctly through the fireiwre but put the SD card directly into the slot on the computer. Is there any one that can help? |

| Same problem mid last month, go to tomtom site FAQ and follow sugestion of downloading upgrade when SD card shows red cross, then transfer across to unit.

You probably deleted some important file. You need to start or reinstall TomTom HOME on your computer.
Connect TomTom to your PC. TomTom HOME will automatically check for updates or just click "check for content updates".
Select to download the TomTom application and TomTom HOME will repair or reinstall required software.

Im having the same problems.
I have downloaded the update to the TT home software, yet i cant install it on my SD card, as TomTomHOME tells me i dont have enough free space, and yet i cant see anything to delete off the SD card.
And yes I have enabled view hidden files, and tried in a card reader.
Looks like ill have to call TomTom now.

| having the similar problem i am thinking about reseting it first otherwise it must be faulty sd card should replace it by taking it back where i brought tomtom one from.

| I didnt make a backup and i modified something in maps and now...says me....no map found...what should i do? has anybody have a backup for only 256 mb?
