I'm not sure where to look for the information that I require.
I have a Nuvi 760 and also use Map Source. I have many waypoints that I have created in excel (xlsx), I then save it as a csv then to gpx using POI Edit for Garmin then to my Nuvi (using POI Loder) and to my Map Source.
What I would like to know is how to add address and phone number to my poi's on a bulk basis for my nuvi by inserting this info using excel instead of editing each poi, so that the address and phone number gointo the right place and I can use my nuvi to ring the poi's.
Also the same for map source with having the address and phone number in the comments section and the web address in the url section. I am not sure how to do this using excel etc. All the info that I have found is not in layman's terms and I don't quite understand what they are talking about.

I also use POI Edit for Garmin. It's the best free POI editor and geocoder on the market. Laughing

To add a phone number I use the following template:

longitude, latitude, name, description, address, city, state, zip, country, phone, proximity,

Load your file with POIedit or copy-and-paste this CSV line:

-74.0009880,40.7119390,name,description,address,city,state,zip,country,(123) 456-7890,100,

You can also use POIedit setup options to load media files, add speed zones, etc.
