Hi
There are 3 speed camera POI files for Australia on the Australian GPS data Team website - Speed Cameras, Fixed Speed Cameras and Mobile Speed Cameras. Does anyone know the difference? Should I install all of them?
Thanks in advance. |

Hi, yeah put them all in. Bear in mind that they have all sites included.
In short, watch your speed! As I am sure you would anyway.
Cheers

| Does anyone know if they still have mobile cameras? And how often do these fixed ones change? Are they no longer allowed to just sit at an intersection and wait for people to speed past them, or is that always a danger, just not quite as common as the cameras.

ALL states have the mobile cameras ! The fixed cameras change all the time so you do not know which ones have the cameras installed at any given time.
There is no danger attached to where the enforcement mob sit/drive/hide etc, the only danger is yourself in control of the vehicle.

| In WA they mobile cameras and hiden , they now have one that does 4 lanes at once, think keeping your speed down is still the safest way.

Have hidden cameras in VIC also.
Hide them in un-marked cars etc parked on side of the roadway, and in 40kph school zones.
There will NEVER be a complete list of camera areas, so just use the
list/warnings as a reminder to slow down to the posted limit if you are slightly over.
