Help,
I have just bought another nuvi 310 and has v8 maps install, however on major roads it doesn't refer to it as ie windsor road it say 2???
so for example if I was using it to travel to windsor road it should say turn left on to windsor road instead its saying to left on to 2
This is really annoying.
My other Nuvi 310 has the v7 maps installed and this always shows the road names not the road number...
I have gone through all the setting and the new unit with v8 maps has the same settings as the other unit with the v7 maps.
does anyone know how to fix this?

| I have also just bought a nuvi 310 with v8 maps and have the same problem ie refers to roads by their number instead of name, and it is real annoying. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

Your best bet to fix this problem is to use the Garmin Webupdater software.
The webupdater will update the firmware in your unit and sgould correct the issue that you are experiencing.

P.S I had the same problem, which was fixed after the firmware update!
